I'm confused, please help

I'm about 10 episodes behind and recently saw the episode in which the doctor found the letter in the picture frame. I was very surprised when he read it and it turned out to be a suicide letter. I originally thought that what was hidden in the picture frame was the letter written by Arcadia in which she says she suspects Carlota of having killed Inaki and names Carlota as her killer if something happpens to her. When did Alonso write this letter? Was this actually shown or are we to assume he wrote it just prior to kidnapping Carlota? What happened to Arcadia's letter? It doesn't make sense to write a suicide note and hide it in a picture frame where no one is going to find it for a while.

I also thought that it was Arcadia's letter. Alonso wrote the letter before he kidnapped Carlota. He read Arcadia's letter and that gave proof that Carlota did kill his son Inaki. He planned on killing Carlota and then after that, he planned to kill himself. The last time I remember seeing Arcadia's letter was when Alonso kidnapped Carlota and was forcing her to admit that she killed Inaki. She wouldn't admit too it, so he showed her the letter. I'm assuming maybe the letter got left behind somewhere.

I'm assuming Carlota destroyed it before she collapsed and ended up in the hospital.

Oh, I had forgotten about Alonso showing her the letter when he held her captive. It makes sense for her to have destroyed it after killing him.

I guess that means that she will have to brag about this murder before she pays for it.
