I think I found an issue where Nicholas Cage damaged ear is on the wrong side (unless he's looking into a mirror).

It's probably an error. Things like this happen pretty regularly in film.

Noticed it too on the trailer, also there appears no damaged ear at all, so who knows until we see the film but if it is a error, its a HUGE mistake to make, I mean WTH.

Not a mistake. Later on he assumes a different identity and they put makeup over his ear. So indeed....not a mistake.

I thought that the doctor did a horrible job, it appears it wasn't even stitched. I would think with plastic surgery and 20 years later that it would be hardly noticeable.
