The Tempest (1979) available on Netflix Streaming

Of course there have been lots of movie Tempest adaptations, but I recently watched this version by famed director Derek Jarman and was really amazed! It's a very imaginative interpretation that isn't so distant from Shakespeare's original play. It reminds me of something Tim Burton might do cuz it's so creepy at times.

Anyway if you like The Tempest and haven't seen this version I highly recommend it!


****WARNING: I should mention, though, that there is lots and lots of nudity. Just about every character is naked at some point, and yes you see guy parts. IMO it's very artistic, like greek sculpture or something, and definitely not pornographic, but if you're offended by nudity don't watch.
