Zippers on doublets...

...work surprisingly well, visually. Anyone else looking forward to seeing the film just for the costumes? I love the play itself as well, but this is definitely some serious eye candy.

I just saw the film at a festival, and I absolutely LOVED the costumes with the zippers all over them. It took me a minute to realize what it was I was seeing, but they looked amazing. It felt like a meeting of old world and idustrial world fashion. Great cinematography as well.

Most if not all of the noble costumes were constructed with hundreds of zippers. (They must have weighed a ton!) I got to see it in a theater in L.A. when it was released, and they had a few of the costumes on display as well. Prospera's cloak was also an amazing piece of construction.

With the exception of Brand's Joker-esue get-up, the costumes were very cool. I wish someone (ASOS I'm looking at you) would do Ferdinand's jacket for instance but in a feminine silhouette (slimmer fit) for winter. Whomever designed the costumes did a very good job.
