the costume person should be shot

Watching the moving now...so far a cute little movie. However, Julie Warner looks so matronly. She may of gained a little weight or maybe expecting I don't know. Her clothing in the movie is right out of lane bryant. They made her look really tacky and probably even heavier. I am suprised someone on the set like the director would not have mentioned it. I am suprised Julie did not speak up. A costume coordinator should have better skills.

Not the most flattering wardrobe that's for sure. Cute movie!

Majorly Frumpy! Embarrassingly so...

Absolutely horrendous outfits on her--magnified her rear end-- even the boots and shoes were unbelievably unflattering! Also, I thought the unrelenting cleavage on her [even when she was teaching at school] and the young teenage daughter was very inappropriate for this movie.

I didn't notice the cleavage, but the clothes were not good. The actress playing the mom was either ticker in the middle or pregnant. The wardrobe department should not have put her in the style of dresses she was in or the materials that were used. I agree that it was distracting.

My name's not f---ing Warren!

It was a cute movie, but I couldn't help from being glaringly distracted everytime Julie Warner was on screen. Her costumes were horrendous, and very distracting!

reply

LOL. I thought that I was the only one who noticed this. She looked like a whale in this movie.

I agree-I wonder what was up with that. As for Tory (Cassi Thomson)-it was bordering on inappropriate but not too bad. The other characters-Tom, Grandma Evie, Grandpa Joe, Lilly, and Jacob were fine.

I agree the couple wasn't attractive and dressed like dorks, but perhaps the idea was to have them look like a middle aged boring couple. We're accustomed to seeing stick thin hot moms on these movies, and this was a drastic change. They dressed like regular people you would see at the grocery store. And who dresses up around the house for no occasion anyway? So yeah, it actually added to the realism of the movie.
