Is this film family -friendly?

Any profanity or nudity?

reply

From what I remember, no nudity or profanity. However, there is a short scene where a man is forcing the deaf woman to a chair and I think tears her blouse a bit (you don't see any exposed skin though, as the camera is quite a bit back), and she's crying after that. This is part of an example of her mother's disregard for her well-being, kind of an oddball event in the movie. She also gives her mother the middle finger at one point. There is consumption of alcohol as well, but it didn't come across as glamorizing it (aspirin is taken the next day to deal with a hangover, for example). Overall I found the messages presented to be healthy and empowering, about being oneself in the face of an overpowering controlling parent.

Yes, suitable for family.
