I really hated the oldest daughter (spoiler)

she was a really mean little SH#T!

I was kind of at the point of hoping she would be killed off by the bad guys, but that would be to extreme for a comady? I was really hoping that the mother would have slapped her when they were having that arguement in her room in the begining.

after we were told her history, and how she changed in the end, you still felt that way?
It was a little tense at the beginning, but really not a stretch for a 13 year old with that history.

It's the stereotypical crusty teenager that melts in the end. Almost any kids movie will have this character. The fact that you didn't like her shows that the actress involved made you believe in the character, so that's a point in the actress' favor.

I felt that the young actress was pretty good. She's pretty so that carried her some, but I felt like she was successful in portraying the brat but still remaining likable. I think she showed a lot of promise in this movie.

I hated this movie, and I think I would have disliked it a little less if it wasn't for her character. She bothered me... The dumb clothes, the bratty attitude... I can't believe they tried to pass her as a teenager. It was actually quite teenager-stereotypical.

Where have you been all your life? In a cave? This is exactly how every female between the age of 13 to 17 acts like.

I dunno Alien, I've seen plenty of females outside of the 13-17 range that act that way.

And I agree with the OP, she should have been slapped for telling the mom to get out of her room. (Even if it isn't her real mom.)

I saw this today and thought I would comment.

I expected her to be the rebel teenager who has a change of heart in the end and was glad that at least this time it was not an instant change.

Now the 1 character I did not like at all was Ian, the reason being because it seemed like he was only there just to be Bob's unwanted sidekick and to have a sideplot to the story. Now yes he did also download that thing but anyone could of done it.

what? the brother was nerdy and adorable :)

to some maybe, I just thought the whole troubled kid needing to fit in part has been done too much.

shure had it been an older kid who was alittle clueless then that may of been alittle better. Now I know its a kids movie and you see chracters like him all the time but I think it would of been a much better movie had they changed his character.

reply

ehhh I guess. But not too much. xD

reply

yeah that oldest daughter was such a meanie.
Every girl her age should see themselves act like this in real and see how mean they really are when they think they are being "cool".

It would of made more sense to me if She was just bratty to Jackie Chan's character, or mad at the mom just for having him babysit. But for her to act the way she did with everything, especially the bedroom scene. I had a hard time liking her.
