Almost great until the end

Then we get the teenage, raunchy sex talk. It really did not fit in with the overall theme and mood of the film,

considering the fade to light screen signified they (definitely the girl) died in that elevator. On top of that no one got the text message they sent, which was obviously sent when they had gone delirious because it only had 5 or 6 letters. This movie was depressing enough and then they attempt to lighten the mood with that 5 minute flashback conversation at the end.

Overall though, this was a well made and well paced film.

It does lighten the mood, but it also gives you time to process their deaths, and the off-topic conversation humanizes them a bit more and makes you realize how young they are. It's actually quite devastating that the girl dies a virgin

The text message appears in a shot after the end credits and it shows the cellular displaying ”Sending message...” for a few seconds, then ”Message not sent, try again later!”, then the screen returns to the writing menu, revealing the simple text message: ”iloveyou” .

You can safely consider it a tragedy , just take into account that the final scene depicts the boy shirtless, and they still have the blanket (the girl sits on it) -- two markers that narrow the scene's time slot to an anomalous moment, that can only make it work as a pseudo-flashback .
