The easiest way is to learn the basics with Astaroth, and he'll stomp his way through the tower with relative ease. Here's a very rough crash course.

The main arsenal will be:

1A (down-back+horizontal slash). It's a low sweep.

1[A],A (down-back+hold horizontal slash, then tap horizontal slash). He'll charge up the low sweep, and then immediately follow it up with a second. Only do this when you have space.

1[A],B (same as above, except tap Vertical slash.) Astaroth will do the charged up low sweep, and follow it by smashing the crap out of them. Again, make sure you have space so you have time to charge.

Whenever you defeat an enemy, wait a second, and then charge up 1[A]B. The next warrior will charge into the field, and you basically get a free combo that takes away 50%-75% of their health.

Any time you knock them down, follow it up with one of the above mentioned attacks.

Other handy moves:
6K (forward+kick). Astaroth lunges forward with his knee raised. One of his quickest attacks that'll knock them down and give you breathing room.

66K (tap forward twice then kick). Astaroth rushes forward. Another move to get breathing room. It takes a little longer to come out, but it's handy. Also, don't be afraid to do this twice in a rown. If they block the first, they'll almost always bite the follow up.

A+G or B+G (ie, throws.). Astaroth's has the most damaging throws and he has the best throw range in the game. Check their skills while the stage loads, and make sure they don't have the "Grapple Break" skill. If they don't, grab their sorry tails and toss them around. If they DO have a grapple break skill, don't bother.

6A,B. (forward+horizontal, vertical). Another quick move to get some space. Astaroth will hit them with the handle of his axe and immediately follow it up with an uppercut that knocks down.

Advanced tactics:
66A,B. (Tap forward twice+horizontal then vertical). Astaroth will do a very wide swing with his axe and follow it up with an uppercut. The uppercut will launch them high in the air, and if you're quick you can land his air throw.

2,8B+G (tap down then up and press B+G) Astaroth jumps up in the air, grabs them, and smashes them over his knee. Be careful by the ring's edge because Astaroth can Ring himself out. (Note: In a later floor, you'll find guys with tons of health whose lifebars you can't seem to dent. This air throw will do full damage against them.)

22_88B4 (press and hold either up or down (doesn't matter) and press Vertical slash, and then immediately press back). Astaroth will do a massive uppercut, and they'll fly straight up (if you don't pull back fast enough, they'll fly away from you.) You want them to fly straight up so you can then grab them out of the air for the over-the-knee devestator air-grab.

2B+K A+G (tap down and horizontal slash+kick at the same time, then A+G for a throw.) Astaroth will stomp on the ground, if they're on the ground they'll fly up, and Astaroth will grab them and smash them with his axe. Use this on grounded opponents. You can land it after 6A,B or 6K.

Other things you can do: Go into Character Creation and create a custom Astaroth and give him the skill HP Drain A. This will let him get life back every time he lands an attack (and with Astaroth's damage, you don't have to hit them often to get lots of health back.)

For more info, I'm sure you could find something at gamefaqs.com

If you're looking to legitamately learn a character try 8wayrun.com or caliburforum.com both sites have lots of very detailed information, probably more than you'll ever want or need.

EDIT: Also, I'm sure you can find something on YouTube for all the floors too.

Truffaut: Do dreams have a bearing on your work?
Hitchcock: Daydreams, probably.
