Who gives a crap?
Overpaid tossers run about crying and falling over like girls. Blah blah
shareIt will never overtake American football. Not enough scoring in international football/soccer to hold much interest in the states.
shareNot enough scoring
Lack of scoring is certainly part of it, but what's frustrating for me is the lack of precision. Face it, feet can only be so dexterous.
My two sons played Soccer (football), Basketball, Baseball, and American Football in grade school and high school. It was torture to attend the soccer games.

You didn't address my main point of lack of precision. You're trying to reduce American's reluctance to embrace soccer to a single factor - scoring. Again, the lack of scoring is one part but the lack of precision is what bothers me and I suspect a lot of non-fans, and more importantly, the lack of scoring is also a direct result of the lack of precision in the sport. Everyone makes fun of curling but at least there is a precision to it that is leagues beyond soccer.
But don't mistake my comments for wondering why the rest of the world enjoys soccer (they clearly do and I'm glad of it), only to voice my opinion why soccer is having trouble making inroads in America.

You just decided to for some reason add precision which means what exactly
better than most daytime tv
shareTotally agree.
Sort of game that should have been left in the playground. Overpaid wankers kicking a ball around.
Most of the world cares. Obviously the OP is an idiot.
shareThis is not the time of year for this stuff. It's time for Christmas and the holiday season, not some summer event.
I understand why it was moved from June/July to November/December. The summer heat in Qatar is unbearable. In the future I hope they have enough common sense to hold this in a country with a more moderate climate.
