Near the beginning of the movie, it shows her switching the ring placement during the "interrogation". The next scene shows her and Bobby meeting in a seedy hotel.
It was their signal, since most organizations have the official stance that fraternization is verboten. (Everybody knows it goes on, but, it can be used to bring you down, if there is a reason needed to get rid of you.)
When she knew she was going to die, she used it as her last message to Bobby, leading him to the money location.
