Tabatha: Bad Dresser or Worst Dresser?

I think she's definitely the worst dresser.

I like her clothes, for the most part. Some of the things she wears don't flatter her thick legs, but she dresses pretty well. What's wrong with her clothes, in your opinion.

Everyone... i wanted to nominate her for an epi of "What Not to Wear"! lol

She said in one episode that your client should be the one to shine and look fab and the stylist should be dressed more plainly.

She dresses almost exactly like every Regis salon employee I have ever seen (I have family employed and teaching for them so I visit a lot of them). They wear back or muted colors. Other than her wardrobe always looking very samey, I don't see a problem with it - and looking samey comes with dressing for that particular job every day.

If you're going to say there's a problem with it, and that it is the worst, when people ask you what's wrong with it, you need some examples, not just a repeat that it's all terrible.

For example, one bad outfit I saw was in ep 5, season 5 (it was a bar episode). When she came back for her revisit, she was wearing a black sheer shirt, with a solid neckline, over a black tank top. It was a pretty ugly overshirt and I don't think would have been flattering to anyone.

The fact that she is trying to copy the idea of 'Regis Salon' makes the problem. She needs to enforce originality, not copying other successful salons. These owners need to be successful on their own ideas - the other ideas have already been taken; starting with dressing in black. Very insipid instead of inspired.

I don't see the problem in how she dresses. She dresses like Tabatha Coffey. It's less about being fashionable and more about her personal tastes , her image, and her personality. She dresses like a cold, mean b!tch because she is one. Lol

It's not copying; it's not like they are the only company in the entire world to enforce black shirts and nice pants. The reason most salons, not just Regis, use this dress code is so that the stylists look professional and their personal sense of fashion doesn't override the client. No one wants to have a clown dressing their hair and what someone finds 'clownish' is going to vary wildly from customer to customer. However, the great majority of people are not going to be offended by a black shirt and a nice pair of pants.

It's a classic style that always looks professional and if she likes that style then there's absolutely no reason for her to change it up. The show is not about being a fashion model; it's about running a successful business. Which guess what, takes looking professional.
