People are overly harsh on movies like this, but it was decent, I'd say a 5.5+/10

Here's an easy way to rate movies.

Is it better than mediocre? Then it's at least a 6
It's a well constructed movie that's better than mediocre and you liked it? A 7. Did you really like it, and with aspects that really were memorable? A real solid good movie, an 8. A nearly perfect movie that you love and would watch again that had a good message, a 9, and a movie that you feel symbolizes to you one of the best movies, that you tell people about as a life changing movie, a 10.

Was one of the better Syfy films in 2009.

I know a lot of folks dislike the Sci Fi movie from 2005 I believe it was called The Triangle, personally I eat up just about anything to do with time travel, and Sam Neill and Eric Stoltz were fantastic in it. I've seen it a few times. The tension was really well done with a decent script.

I gave it a 7. Not in comparison to other movies but more in comparison to other SyFy movies.

I'd say that you are being overly soft on movies like this. The entire movie — but especially the beginning — is so full of science sounding technobabble that it was more irritating than it was entertaining.

Most of these "Sy-Fy Channel [Overly] Original Movies" could only have been written by someone who had slept through every science class he ever had to take.

The amount of real science in this movie isn't enough to make you blink if it were to fly in your eye.
