I think she was asking too much money for it. This actress actually asked to be in the first I believe, but the other was chosen instead.

Tamara Feldman can't act to save her life is what happened. The producers traded up for a real actress in Harris.

Real actress? Harris was the single most annoying thing about this movie. She completely ruined it with her constant shrieking and whining.

She was terrible.

Ha, real actress. Good one. They got her just because she was in on of the original Halloween films, that was it.

Is that why Bruce Willis, Tony Todd, Brad Dourf and other top ranked actors all call Harris an A grade talent in the acting business. Is that why on forbes Danny is ranked higher in the ranking list for acting skills then that of her counter part via the first marybeth? Is that why Steven King and William Forsye call Danny a great actress with the talent to do anything she wants? You are wrong

PS: You go through *beep* like that and live to tell about it and you would be acting the same way. Besides that it's not like the script was the best to work with.

Could you post a link to "forbes" so we can see what the heck you are talking about? And not to be argumentative, but Bruce Willis, Tony Todd, Brad Dourf are hardly "top ranked actors." Willis is a mediocre actor who made it big in action movies, and Todd and Dourf have been floundering in C-movie obscurity fir years. But that's okay, because we all have opinions, and theirs are no more important that your or mine.

Danielle Harris is a good actress who has yet to be given a role that displays what she is capable of. Same is true for Tamera.

Why have Adam Green fans been so eager to trash Tamera? He should either say what the issue is or stop alluding to things. Rather childish and unprofessional.

Tamara did not return because she wanted more money. So Harris accepted the monies offered out of desperation to work as she is flumbering in the lowest paid Z list independents and grabs what ever she can get while Tamara insisted on more income and walked when they told her no.

Well, regardless of the reasoning, I preferred Tamara in the role over Harris, but ONLY by a tiny margin....

Did anyone else notice Danielle's right eyebrow was raised through 95% of the film?!?!?? Not sure why I never noticed it in other movies before! I wanted to reach through the screen & grab her brows & adjust them myself.

I've never seen so many polarized opinions on Danielle Harris's acting. Personally, I adore the actress due to her roles in "Halloween" 4 and 5, so I was ecstatic with the change and did like her performance in this film. I did notice the eye-brow thing, but who cares. Nobody watches horror movies like this for Academy Award winning performances, and she did a more than serviceable job.

Actually judging by this board, a lot of people, including myself, care. I much preferred Tamara Feldman in the role, and like many others here, found Danielle Harris' "People's Eyebrow" distracting.

I like Danielle Harris and she is one of my favorite actresses. I will watch anything she stars in, but she looks and sounds completely different from the actress from the first film. So if you watch the films together back to back, it is a noticeable change and is difficult to get used to. But I suppose that always happens when you recast because no two people are exactly the same.

Who cares, Danielle was a step up and a treat for horror fans.

The first actress was nothing memorable. At least the casting of Harris was a nice nod to slasher fans.

I was interested to see her because I recognised her from the Halloween movies. Of course in parts 4 and 5 of Halloween she was only a child and in the Rob Zombie reboots she mostly took a backseat to the lead. So I was interested to see what she'd do with a lead role.

But I found her to be terrible here. She didn't seem able to carry the central role at all and she always seemed to use the same select few expressions. Naturally it didn't help that this sequel wasn't written that well either though.

It's difficult to say whether Tamara would have been much better. The role of Marybeth was smaller there. She was just one of many characters and we'd mainly been focussed on the bloke with her right at the end for most of the movie. She wasn't really a 'final girl' until the last few seconds of the film, so she never had to carry the film alone. Still, I have to say I found Danielle Harris distractingly bad in the lead role in this sequel.

Quite obviously because they wanted to do some more Hollywood self-referencing by putting someone from the Halloween franchise into the cast. This has been lame since Scream, but who cares... :D
