Terry Schappert did do an episode with the Japanese ninjas. It was so fascinating because the Japanese ninjas defined themselves with the amazing variety of hand weapons they created specifically for themselves.
As a guy, I'm always impressed and INTIMIDATED by watching these modern warriors. Somebody called them re-enactors and that's not accurate. These guys can actually fight with their ethnic ancestral weapons.

You try walking up to one of these modern warrior practitioners in Scotland, Germany, Norway, Guatemala, Africa (Zululand), Hawaii, and Japan and call him a re-enactor.

Like Terry Schappert, I'm intimidated. Terry is humble enough to claim on every episode how easily his butt would be kicked, despite his Special Forces green beret hand-to-hand fighting training. I know that any one of these guys on these shows will also kick my a$$, and it will hurt badly.
