Of couse it will. It's the best Sony ever got lately.

The film has become a bonafide blockbuster, so it’s safe to say a sequel is guaranteed. It’s also worth noting Tom Hardy is signed on for three movies and, of course, Woody Harrelson as Carnage wasn’t teased for nothing. But its box office success is what’ll ultimately make that sequel a reality. Sorry not sorry critics! :D

As for me, thought this film was awesome. Gotta get the obligatory “it’s not without its issues” out of the way and just say it’s better than many are saying. Then again, other than online critics Venom has been embraced by audiences and plenty of fans of the character. The ultimate Venom adaption it may not be, but in my eyes it got enough right. In fact, it’s without question already a favorite of mine in the Marvel/CBM universe.

Now my fondness for it notwithstanding, in order to keep interest in this franchise going they undoubtedly need to improve things with a sequel. And though it wouldn’t be necessary at the moment (good ol’ Sony can get cocky), an MCU/Spidey connection somewhere down the road would be cool — this would not please the MCU detractors haha. At any rate, this is an insane and wildly entertaining film.

You took the words right out of my mouth.

I saw it and enjoyed very much. One of the best in a few years!

I'm sure there WILL be a sequel, did you see after the credits..hmm? :)

It is.

It made money and Sony want to launch a whole universe using Spider-Man characters, like "Morbius" starring Jared Leto.

I'm guessing Venom will be filling in the Spider-Man role as the central hero until Sony and Marvel clarify there relationship.

Sequel is inevitable.
