Rumor

I recall there was some serious outrage to this rumor, and for good reasons. Lol. After the lukewarm reception the first trailer received (I always liked it, to be honest), reading that Venom itself wouldn’t appear until the very end was the last thing anyone hoping that this could have any chance at being a worthy Venom adaptation wanted to hear. Was Sony deliberately trying to make this crash and burn?

I admit, at first I was concerned when I read about the rumor from a few sources. But when it came down to it, I never really bought it. Then the rumor was shot down by Tom Hardy himself. Later a new proper trailer arrives and worries over the lack of Venom subsided. But yeah, hopefully he is going to appear in all his glory way before the third act.

While concerns over the possible changes the film might make from the comics persist, I’m cautiously optimistic this film will stay true to Venom (minus the Spider-Man thing). To my eyes it looks promising.
