The bald guy

It took me a while to place him, but then I realized where I knew him from. He was Waingro from HEAT!!! That dirty sonofabtch......

So why didn't Danny Trejo get his revenge on Waingro? I mean, Waingro DID kill Trejo's wife and torture him severely in Heat, no?

Was it waingro who did that or was it William Ficthner and his people? Maybe both. Anyway, Maybe Trejo went Machete on his arse in the pkg lot. Did you notice how Trejo isn't in frame with anyone else? So funny.

Well, looks like I have to watch Heat AGAIN!! Darn my luck! Seriously though, I can't remember who had a motive to stop DeNiro & crew from taking down the bank score. I remember that the guy who's bonds got ripped off at the beginning of the movie ("Van Zant" or something?) got REAL paranoid after DeNiro called him and told him he was a dead man. And then Waingro came in saying "Oh yeah, I've been doing scores with these guys for 5 years, I know them so well, blahblahblah", so "Van Zant" sent Waingro after DeNiro, et al. Like I said, I'll have to dial it up on my Blu-Ray or something.

But back to The Killing Jar, you're right, they could have totally inserted Trejo's scenes into the flick AFTER all the other scenes were shot! Think about it...

1) Like you said, he's never in the same frame with anyone else
2) Before Trejo dies, the waitress is telling everyone that "they can't have food; the kitchen is closed". So what would Trejo be doing back there, IN THE KITCHEN, if the kitchen was closed?
3) Most convincingly (to me, anyway) is how they changed the movie poster. The original movie poster had the Busey kid (his picture AND his name); the DVD cover had Trejo in place of both.

That's so cool! Trejo makes movies for 30+ years, never even gets his name on a movie poster... then Machete comes out, and everybody wants him to be the star of their movie, or at least REALLY publicize that he's in it. (There's one movie, Vengeance, that got re-titled "Danny Trejo's Vengeance" after the success of Machete.)

I like and admire Danny, he was a low life gan banger that turned his life around, if you want to learn more about him watch Champion (2005)

2. Yeah, 'cause when a kitchen closes, nobody stays around to clean it, right? Everyone just leaves, huh.

Geez....

That's what I was thinking when I read that. Like Danny would run that greasy of a greasy spoon.
