A white Basketball star and a black nerd????

WTF is this movie a fantasy or what?

And why does the black guy have to lose it and shoot up the school? I have never heard of a black guy shooting up a school because he was "disturbed"

Um Your Ridiculous! First of all why does it have to be about black and white. It's 2 people and 2nd of all he kills himself not shoots up the school. He was depressed which is the cause of many teen suicides in all races whether a basketball star or nerd. You should look at the overall message in the story! It can and will save lives!

maybe you should see the movie. i had the same preconceptions you did. black dude goes crazy. white dude saves the day. it wasn't like that at all. its a church movie for sure but its a very authentic movie. everyone in it has problems. and if you see it - you'll find that the black dude who committed suicide was actually a tragic hero. there are strong black roles in the movie and a few supporting roles too. dont judge based on the trailer. i know i was wrong...

hey. :) I just want you to know that there are people reading this who may read this the wrong way. Just know that because you maybe have never seen a real-life white basketball star and a black nerd scenario, it doesn't mean it doesn't exist. There are millions of people in U.S. and maybe, just maybe, God is using this movie to reach a white basketball (or any sports) star and a black nerd. :) Don't discredit what you may not comprehend.

A movie going against stereotypes. I hate that movies are solely based on stereotypes. Do you live in reality lol... The kid who won valedictorian at my school this year was black (by a landslide he won) and the basketball MVP was white.
