I'm actually going to defend that one just a little and say that I thought Murphy gave a great performance as Sherman Klump. I'm totally serious here. While the makeup certainly helped, Murphy's talent as an actor played a great part in making Sherman the most unique and likeable character in the movie. It's the furthest Murphy ever came to playing someone completely unlike himself. I honestly think he deserved an Oscar nod just for playing Sherman.
The Prestige? Really? Wouldn't that count as a spoiler?
