new Ryan Reynolds film "Self/Less" reminded me of Transfer

Right down to the "rich old person starts having flashback memories of the young person's life..." -- although in the new RR film it's just him (not an elderly couple) that takes over the body of a young person. And since it's a big-budget Hollywood release, it's more action-adventure conspiracy-story focused rather than a human-emotion drama like "Transfer".

I feel a positive anticipation after seeing the trailer, and being a huge scifi[-thriller] fan I hope it lives up to its premise and doesn't completely contradict the rules of its own universe as the story progresses *cough*InTime*cough*

This is way better than "Self/less". I have actually put in a recommendation for this movie in "Self/less" board.

The revelation in "Transfer" movie that makes it better than most "Body-swap" movies - Mind-transfer is practically nothing but "simulation" of one mind in another. There can be no such thing as actual mind-transfer except maybe when brain itself is surgically put inside another body
