Good acting Vs. Bad acting - Not Realistic Scenarios

The acting was so poor. Giving it a chance but wow that acting really did suck.
Looks like a few very very few were pretty good actors. Then the scenes did not make sense ? It was not realistic that they would be so relaxed with the Enemy nearby. Sorry this Film is Bad. Watch it if one is learning ,, maybe a training video on what not to do.

When I watch the Saints films, without being disrespectful I lower my expectations because of the low budgets they have as they will never be like Saving Private Ryan and anyone who thinks that will be the case needs to know this. In doing so I have enjoyed them all.
I think the effort and passion put into these films is far greater than some Hollywood films. They look like they are a labour of love for the filmmakers.

I know they are not completely accurate because they are not focusing on the actual history of the bigger events and are more like stories within the stories of the bigger picture but they are very enjoyable to watch. They may not have the same epic scale and production values of Hollywood movies but that doesn't matter because there is a lot to like about them. If I'd made them I'd be proud of them. It's amazing the standard that has been reached with these films considering the low budgets and I think the cast and crews of these films are very talented people.

I own the first two films on Bluray and think they are Great War movies. Both have good bonus features as well, including Commentaries and making of's on the production of the films. As I get older I seem to be getting more pleasure out of lower budget films and appreciate them more than some big budget Hollywood movies these days.

The Void is another solid entry into the series of films. I don't own it yet and watched it on The Movies for Men Channel in the UK and really enjoyed it. All the films including The Void focus on smaller stories rather than all out battles, they concentrate on the smaller struggles smaller groups of soldiers come across, showing the more human side of their dilemmas. They are more dialogue focused than action orientated but number three did include more action in the tank battles.

For a series of low budget war movies I think they did a brilliant job and I'm very happy to have them in my collection and it just goes to show with a little effort, care and hard work you can still produce enjoyable films even without chucking loads of money at the budget.

The director Ryan Little has recently directed War Pigs with Dolphins Lundgren. This is being released on Blu ray in the UK in the next month or two and it will be interesting to see what he can do with a bigger budget and 'known' actors with more experience.

Don't let these movies pass you by,if you like ww2 movies they are worth a watch.

The next showing on The Movies for Men channel of Saints and Soldiers-The Void is this Saturday 25th July 2015 at 19.10 hours.
