Was she afraid of the shower for some reason?

I kept wondering why she didn't shower and I looked at her hair from scene to scene to see whether she had washed it or not. At one point it looked like it was clean. But the one time she went into the bathroom with a towel she never actually got in the shower. She just changed her clothes and refolded the towel. In another scene she walked towards the shower while alarming sounding music played and then just stopped and walked away. I thought there was going to be some kind of revelation of something having happened to her in a shower, but nothing like that happened. Was I just imagining this?
