Ed Furlong..fat + ugly!

Not sure why they casted this guy...he was arguably the ugliest person in the cast...not to mention he sounded like he was half asleep during the 1st half, then hyped up on Cocaine & sounding like Gizmo (from Gremlins) during the 2nd half!..Eyes wide open & freaky looking.

LOL. I kind of felt like he was the weakest part of the entire film, to be honest. He put out a "Britney VMA" performance. You know, where he looked like he was drugged up & just sort of shambled through the entire thing?

I'm wondering if there was a part of the script that was cut out. I got the impression in the beginning that perhaps we were going to discover via the drug lord BJ scene that Colin was sampling his own product. It'd actually explain a lot about his appearance, personality, & why the drug guy wasn't getting his money.

I also couldn't help but wish that the movie had done something along the lines of the beginning of the film. Why not have Colin talk to Maddie, trying to talk her out of jumping? It'd have made for an interesting scene.

I loved Edward Furlong and the fact that he was not a skinny, "sexy" looking pretty boy was part of the reason.

Thank you.. im so sick of these prettyboy ambercrombie models that keep getting cast in movies. it completely takes me out of a movie when i look at the cast and go ugh they look like douchebags i hope they die. cuz he wasnt looking like one and was chubby i kept rooting for him to live.

I agree. I actually am one who isn't concerned with looks when watching a film. I enjoy a pretty girl, but I don't even care for nude scenes. And in the end, I'm more concerned about the story.

He actually looks much better in this than he has in recent years, of course that's not saying much. But yeah, any of those girls being even slightly attracted to him was the least believable part of this film. I don't know how he keeps being cast, he sleepwalks his way through any movie he's in.

Too bad you posted this six years ago and probably won't see this, but Furlong and the lead in this Monica Keener dated for a few years. Lots of juicy drama on Furlong's Wikipedia page if you're interested.

The movie itself was awful, but yeah - he's fallen a long way since Terminator 2. However, that WAS 18 years ago. What has he done since that was really notable? Pet Sematary 2? Detroit Rock City? Pecker was pretty good, but it was a John Waters movie, and honestly that was probably the best 'adult' role I've seen him in.

American History X and Animal Factory are very good films, so he has done something really notable since Terminator 2.

Of course they can, but his character was far from awesome... I'm not so much as talking about his weight, but the fact that he seemed strung out the whole time. But as far as his looks, its just sad to see he let himself go. He's not too much older than me and I was really attracted to him in the early/mid 90s, so I can't help but remember what was. And he was a good actor... Still could be if he put some effort into whatever film he was in.

I also thought American History X and Animal Factory were 2 of his better films since T2.

He was my favorite character. I kept seeing an older fatter John Connor. It was great.

Ed did look a little overweight here but not EXTREMELY FAT. his character is a drug dealer so it made sense for him to look kind of grungey

Ummmmm, you don't look like you have missed too many meals yourself Gordito, I mean Jorgito. So it would be more realistic if Deamons only got involved with slim beautiful people?

I barely recognised him - changed quite a lot since I saw him in Terminator 2 all those years ago! The only other face I recognised was Monica Keena from Freddy vs Jason.

reply

if he still would have looked 14 years old as he was in Terminator 2. then Night Of The Demons cast one AGELESS 32 year old
