Well he could have said, 'No, stop!!' usw etc....;)

I think he was just too exhausted (both physically and emotionally) to have done anything about it, and probably wanted it to happen too, as he actually did love her.. but yeah, he should probably have tried to stop it. But that's also what makes this such a great movie, all the tough decisions they have to go through, what is morally right, etc. :D

The movie was so damn confusing until the end. The ending pretty much solved why Christoffer tried to kill himself and starve himself to death and why he was asking about "how many days" he was doing this. However, I think it was just a little too much going on with all the main characters. The first six characters from the cast were ALL damaged beyond repair:

Maggie - heavy alcoholic (how come she was not suspended?); unfaithful; still in love with someone she hurt and who will never come back; full of repression
Chris - pedophile, but fighting it; full of guilt, hidden desires and repressive thoughts
Jenjira - child prostitute, whose mind is messed up; never had a real childhood; unhappily in love with a much older man
Holger - pedophile; why the hell does he "save" kids when he is a pedo himself???
Roland - unhappily in love
Jörg - alcoholic, but seems pretty ok with it; probably the least f-ed up of the f-ed up
