more acting less steroids please........

god this guy sucks. his battle cry was so cringeworthy .
those who liked this garbage movie must be stupid teenagers

He did an interview about this subject. The Rock never used steroids.

i'm sure that's what he says. even bodybuilders who have been proven to have used steroids (ronnie coleman is a big one) adamantly claim that they're "full natty". most bodybuilders lie because it's against competitive rules to use performance-enhancing drugs. i think alot of people like the rock lie because they have some sort of guilty concious, like they'll be seen as liars and cheaters if they use roids.

i don't get that mentality. i don't think roids are bad, because you still have to workly insanely hard to get a physique like the rock, roids or no roids. this mentality that they're just "muscle in a pill" or you take an injection and suddenly transform into arnold schwarzenegger with no effort is annoying and stupid.

I don't know anything about bodybuilding but my college professor is very athletic. He told me that if you take steroids and also work out, you get muscles like The Rock and Arnold. However if you just take the steroids and don't workout, your muscles still grow a lot, just not as much

If a person were to take steroids without working out, they may see some response in terms of muscle growth, but if that person actually wants to look good and have a good physique he will still have to work his ass off in the gym.

Steroids are not a substitute for hard work in the gym. They only complement your body's own hormone production so that a person can build more muscle than they are capable of with their natural hormone levels alone.

So if a person can build X amount of muscle with their natural levels of testosterone, if they boost their testosterone via steroids then they will also be able to boost their muscle mass beyond what they're capable of naturally.

i mean your professor is more or less right, tho a bit understated. to look like the rock or schwarzenegger, you'd have to work out an insane amount (at least 5 hours a day) and eat an absurd amount of calories in order to obtain the physique (larger frame means more food you have to eat), even on steroids. if you took roids but worked out only twice a week and ate normally, you might see minimal results but you would not transform into the hulk after a month. the main thing is that roids help with recovery, and allow gymheads to constantly work out without getting sore or having to rest/take days off.

people like jim carrey and ozzy osbourne have admitted to being lifelong roiders, though they are nowhere near muscular or athletic looking. it just depends on how they use it, what they eat, and how much they work out, which probably isn't more than a regular gymgoer would.
