Model/Name of Malasun's VW Van?

I absolutely loved this film and made me miss the 9 years I spent in Taiwan - my second home. Can anybody here help me with the name of the VW Van that Nien-Hsien Ma's character "Malasun" drives? As far as I am aware, these were not available when I lived in Taiwan and I did not see any when I went back on my last visit. I would like to try and source one of these from a Right Hand Drive country that sells them.
