on the official page in the venom file it says his real name is mac gragan? wtf? isnt that the scorpion? wat happened 2 eddie brock? did i miss something?

Basically in The Comics , Brock had a religious awakening as Catholics so love to do(no offense as I`m Catholic)& sold The Venom Symbiote on Ebay(I kid you not).Some low-level mob don named Fortunato bought The Suit & gave it to his son , Angelo as A Birthday Present to help him gain confidence.Angelo then became the second(& shortest-lived)Venom.He had a couple near-successes against Spidey but could never acheive the infamy Brock had.Angelo died when he fell off a cliff & The Symbiote abandoned him , seeing the kid as "weak".Then through circumstances unrevealed , Gargan came across The Symbiote & willingly bonded with it in the hopes of finally becoming an 'a-lister'.Though Gargan`s newfound power impresses much of the criminal underworld & other lower-level supervillains , Spidey still sees him as 'a freakin` loser' , much to his dismay.Brock would later have spores from The Venom Symbiote mix with his white blood cells , transforming him into Anti-Venom , a vigilante with a religious mission to 'cleanse' The World of Evil Symbiotes.Anti-Venom resembles Venom , only with mostly white & a few patches of black instead of the other way around , yellow eyes & more sentience(referring to himself in singular instead of plural) .
Venom is Mac Gargan now. Eddie Brock went and saw "this movie by Mel Gibson" and had a religious awakening. So he set up an auction. Tons of people went to get it. Shocker, Mysterio...but the one who won was some brat who wanted to prove something to his gangster daddy. He was doing alright until he killed someone dressed as Spider-Man. Spider-Man POUNDED him for it, scaring him into running away. Disgusted, the symboite leapt off him, letting him fall to his death.
The symboite found Gargan and offered him the chance of a lifetime. Due to his personality being more twisted then Brock's, the symboite gets MUCH worse. It starts eating people. Brock always said stuff about eating brains, Gargan goes through with it.

I think she was a stripper, not a hooker. But seriously, why is he eating people? I thought symbiotes only fed on certain chemicals in a gland in the neck and the brain. ...or chocolate.

Pretty sure they just feed on chemicals found in the body. Brock's cancer caused him to produce a lot of adreniline and it fed on that. Also certain chemicals in the brain...also found in chocolate.
Which makes me wonder why he's eating ARMS. I think Gargan is just a sick puppy anyway. It seems that the more twisted the host, the worse the symboite makes them. Brock became psychotic, but he still tried to help. Mac Gargan, already psychotic, started eating people. I don't think even Carnage has ever eaten anyone.

Actually if the symbiote were to go without the adrenaline and other chemicals it would create a mutable skeleton so it can go out to find and kill its prey since the symbiotes were supposed to consume the host body. the venom symbiote was starved of those chemicals and went out and killed and when Mac Gargan bonded with the symbiote it had already had its taste for blood that Gargan needs to satisfy by eating people.
