Yea yea I know her cruelty stuff etc. But She was so rejected as you can see from the coffee Scene when she sees her supposedly friends from High School.

As already said, she was rejected by the girls in the coffee shop clearly because she did the same thing she's doing to Sara to Nina Dobrev's character, hence why she wouldn't even go in the shop once she saw Rebecca in there.
I was half expecting near the end of the movie for Sara to track her down and find out what a psycho Rebecca was from her.
