Eventually. With something like that, I can't imagine keeping quiet unless it's a family member or if I was unfortunate enough to have an abusive spouse. In fact, I tend to spill every bean imaginable if I'm physically harmed.
But even then, honestly, I would have eventually. I have before. :/ I've also done things to get back at such people(usually passive-aggressively, but still...)
The thing is, it's easy to criticize people like Tracy, but those same people don't realize that worked for them might have gotten her killed for sure. There are people out there who HAVE successfully stood up Rebeccas(like, I was told about a Sarah who beat the ever lasting *beep* out a Rebecca and slashed her face, but lucked out because that Rebecca moved away and claimed to "forgive her", which turned out to be BS), but there are others who have done the same, but don't live to tell about it. There are also cases of people GOING to the police, getting restraining orders, telling the whole damned world, etc, but nothing happens. A example of this is the Duster Girl from Intervention(Allison). She and her sister told every one that they were being sexually abused, but the abuser was acquitted due to lack of evidence. And then he moved to the Middle East and half the family stopped talking to her.
What's unrealistic is that it would have been very difficult to hide a belly button injury. But, then again, battered spouses have been in similar situations(if not worse) and will often lie for a variety of reasons.
But, it's all moot because Rebecca was killed by Sarah, so now they are all free of her, she can't hurt them anymore, and Tracy/Sara can have any friends they want. It wouldn't surprise me if they ended up being friends again.
