Why the low score?

Did everybody just get home from an Ingmar Bergman retrospective? This is a typical shlock creature feature and it's as entertaining as most, it may not be high art but the characters were likable, the story coherent, and it made me smile anyway. I've seen much worse b movies with a much higher score. Come on creature feature fans where's the love?

Agreed. This film was a good deal of simple and straightforward Grade B creature feature fun.

I agree with both you guys. It's an entertaining TV-budget horror flick. It has a humorous edge (mostly with the "Rainman" Sheriff), but the movie mixes-in seriousness and even some moving parts, like when the Sheriff dies and his last words to his adopted son, the game warden. It's nothing great, but it's entertaining and well-rounded TV-horror with a likable cast and some seriously gory parts.
