I recently sent an email to Miramar Film asking about the Zift DVD and they said it will be released on 21st March along with Kapital newspaper. Hurray! Though I'd have gladly paid more for a better, stand-alone release with bonus features, as the "newspaper DVDs" are usually of poor quality and don't have any additional content.
At least as of now I doubt it, unfortunately. As far as I know the Bulgarian movie producers rarely release DVDs and when a DVD comes out it's usually sponsored by some newspaper and intended for local purchase.
I bought the DVD today and it actually has English menu and subtitles included, but I still don't know if it can be purchased from anywhere outside Bulgaria.
I bought the DVD too. On the back side there is a note stating:
Supplier Intermedia, Sofia, post code 1000, N20 Ivan Vazov Str., phone Nr. (++359-2) 93 76 349
It is interesting to add though - there is no statement that the movie can be sold only domestically. But, then again - there is no opposite statement too :)
P.S. I find it moronic to sell DVD in your own country with no subtitles in your own language for deaf people but instead with subtitles in English, makes no sense at all.
Thanks so much for your replies, guys! Do you think one of you could get me a copy of the DVD and send it to me by mail? I could pay you back through PayPal. Please feel free to email me at [email protected] if you don't consider this too much of an effort. I'd really appreciate it since this would be my first Bulgarian DVD!
