what a load of crap! Terrible acting, lousy script, typical TV movie junk. No spark, no magic, Arnold's performance was terrible. Put me right off watching any more Hallmark Christmas movies!! I'll stick with the classics!
Oh come on, don't be a scrooge! I thought it was a sweet, touching movie, and I was glad to see Candace Cameron acting again. I'm actually getting more and more impressed with tv movies these days. They're not as cheesy as they used to be.
Wow! Thanks for making me feel stupid for enjoying myself whilst watching this movie. Holiday movies are just like any other genre of movie: formulaic. There are certain things I expect from a holiday movie, like snow, Santa, reindeer, romance, and a happy ending.... that's why I watch them.
The classics? Do you mean the utterly depressing B/W film "It's a Wonderful Life?" Or maybe the 39 (yes, I did count every one) boring versions of "A Christmas Carol?" Don't get me wrong... I love classic Christmas movies too (except those mentioned above,) but I do prefer lush colors, sparkling snow, twinkly lights, and sometimes even lousy scripts and terrible acting. There's something for every taste, even bad taste. Happy Christmas, though.
I liked it alot, but I am not a particular fan of Tom Arnold-- he is so jittery, and makes me nervous while watching him. I don't know why they picked him to play Candace's father, they could have picked another actor to play the part. Tom did ok in the part, but I just don't care for the guy--never did. I also felt that Candace and he was unbelievable as Father and daughter, but I guess they made it work.
I really enjoyed the sentimentality of this movie. Candace turned out to be a very pretty woman. These TV movies are made to be enjoyed. They aren't meant to be blockbusters. It's the message that's important. Open your heart.
