Enough with the Faith themes and Pablum

Lower Halmark quality all the way, all the suffering way to the end. Sorry, could have been an ok story but seems like Harp music track, the God references, just too much or too little. Not sure what is going on with the other posters and shill talk, but now , heck I am losing Faith in IMDB... if some of that stuff is true. I rarely write here, but wanted to warm normal movie fans that this film is just a worthless drivel of a film effort. I am embarrassed I watched to the end. Even the drama parts like following the bad guys in the car...Hello He is right behind you in a huge black truck,, this in basically your private Alley...this is a crime film ... a 12 year old could craft a more believable story or situations.... I guess the could be fine for someone who reads excerpts from Readers Digest and sees a movie once every 2 yrs on cable or Hallmark. But really?!

Here is copy from my other posting:
Yeah I have to agree that this was just pablem ..however you spell the baby food. Really seems like a Halmark channel movie done by some new film students. I wish I had turned it off. OK OK it was an ok story but just so slow, and court room drama...some poster compared to Kill A Mocking Bird. Are you serious.
I know I may ruffle feathers here but all this overlay of in God's hands I mean really. Should have saved my one dollar at redbox for something else, anything.
"riveting story" I am really curious what else the orginal poster has seen, If you ever watch say "Cape Fear" I guess you'd call that a fun story? I was waiting for some suspense and perhaps some words of wisdom/ finess in court...but not here.

Thank you for your post.

I don't know how this dreck was in my queue, but what a disappointment.

Simple minded trash of a story. Always look on the bright side of death....

The only thing I might say in support of this movie is that for those who are looking for squeaky clean type movies this is better than some other things out there. A lot of "Christian" films tend to alienate every non-christian watching them...and in my case even the Christians. No, I won't watch this again, wasn't worth the first pass either, but I would reccomend it to my Christian friends over some other films that are out there.

I just got this movie from RedBox and my husband and I will watch it tonight. I appreciate the last poster saying, "I would reccomend it to my Christian friends over some other films that are out there." I am one of those Christians who has had enough of the movies that Hollywood puts out; and yes, this includes so-called-Christian producers etc... I'm glad to hear of no sex or nudity in the film. If it is a Hallmark style movie, well; ok then! There are so few movies out there, that people of faith (much less people with children) can watch now days! If there are some who paid full price at the theator to watch this film, instead of RedBox etc., and you were disappointed; well, you could have looked into the film before going to see it. I (as often as I can) like to look into a movie (even if at RedBox) before watching it. I've gotten burned a few too many times, when I haven't. Anyway, thanks and I still look forward to seeing the movie! I will write my own review afterwards.

Love in Christ Jesus,
Cynthia

If you don't like faith being mentioned in a film then don't watch it. The title of your post implies that every other movie coming out has a religious message of some sort. Obviously that is not the case. As 85% of Americans consider themselves believers, it isn't odd that faith would find its way into a movie plot here and there.

People certainly have a right to state that they do not care for movies dealing with Christian themes, faith,& so forth. For me,after the tragedy in Newtown with the school children & teachers,& the firefighters who were shot & killed while responding to a house fire, give me films like this one.I no longer have a need or desire to see the violent movies that proliferate our screens. Our culture seems to lap it up,the more bloody a movie the better it does.Real life murders & wars aren't enough for us.We demand it in our entertainment.I won't do this anymore.I don't have the stomach for it at all.

I am very sorry that you feel that way but different strokes for different folks. There are hundreds of channels out there with hundreds of movies playing 24/7. No one is forcing you to watch movies of this type, you can change the channel, and I will give you a hint; most of these movies are on Christian oriented channels so there are plenty of channels that are not Christian oriented for you to go to. You are entitled to your opinion and enjoy what you want to watch. Please allow us Christians the opportunity to see movies and series that appeal to us. There is plenty of room for all. Thank God we are not stuck with the alphabet channels and 1 or 2 UHF channels like it was in the old days. May God bless you.
