Jane Was Not A Smart Mother

Let's leave aside the issue of BAD's drinking while being alone with the kid because that's been covered. But, what smart, good mother would leave their child alone with a stranger after knowing him for just a few days? With all the wierdos in the world its incredibly stupid to do something like that. Also, having a man that you hardly know stay overnight around your kid is stupid, too. It gives the kid the wrong idea about the permanency of relationships and it isn't safe.

Her behavior was just all kinds of dumb. What do you think?

I agree with the original poster. It's one thing to have sex with someone the second time you meet him, it's something else entirely to leave your small kid alone with him.

I soooooo agree with the original poster (was just going to start a thread saying exactly the same thing)! She blames Blake when the mistake was hers! Who in h.e.l.l. leaves their young child with a male of uncertain dependability who has been known to drink and who is not related to the child????? Gawd, and the movie makes it look like he's the one to blame too. It was her choice and she chose wrong (not to sleep wiht Blake, but to leave her kid alone wiht him). Gawd. Wanted to smack her when she got so self righteous - talking like it was her mistake all the while treating him like he was the devil or something.......

I agree. That morning after he was out of the hospital and she was toying with daycare or staying with him...duh, daycare. I mean he's all injured and *beep* for starters...
