Bad Should Not Have Gotten with Jane Because She Was Not a Big Drinker

When you are an alcoholic, you cannot have a successful romantic relationship with someone who is not a big drinker also. That was Bad's mistake. The bottle always comes first - which is fine, as long as you are honest about it. There are plenty of nice alcoholic women, he should have been with one of them.

Not sure I buy the end of the film where he goes to AA and stops drinking. Kind of puts alcoholics in a negative light, as if there is something wrong with being a heavy drinker.

Interesting trivia: the owner of the liquor store was named Bill Wilson. Bill Wilson was the founder of AA.
