Unsatisfying Film

Jeff Bridges peformance was really nothing special -- more of a caricature than anything. Maggie Gyllenhall plays an idiot who lets an alcoholic stranger care for her kid. He loses the kid at a mall while drinking (which posters here somehow try to defend), and she then refuses to forgive him even after he gets clean and sober. He gets a song and some cash out of it, and that's it.

A couple songs were half-decent, but I had a hard time caring much about any of the characters, except Maggie a little, simply b/c she was cute.
