How could Kyle look into the neighbor's window?

The neighbor's apartment shared a wall with Kyle and Lance's apartment, it wasn't across an alley or street. So how did he look into the window?

Also, the music was HORRIBLE. Played to a loud crescendo that I had to mute when it came on.
