I find his last few movies disappointing compared to his first 4 which are great.
How is this ? Is it better than his last few or equally bad or disappointing ?

It all depends, as you probably already know, the film has really split opinions (check past board topics)...
i haven't seen the film (haven't even had the chance!) but, well, if you haven't liked any of his films since 1998's The Hole then i doubt you will like this...
On the other hand, how can you not like any of his films since 1998!? Even Goodbye Dragon Inn and I Don't Want To Sleep Alone? There's nothing disappionting in these movies! They're great!
Anyways, if you really haven't enjoyed any of his films since The Hole then this doesn't look like it will change your mind.
Well, Tsai has definitely changed directions since The River. This progression(?) continues in Face; if you disliked his newer movies, then you will dislike this one even more.
I personally liked his 90's work better, although What Time Is It There?, The Skywalk Is Gone, and The Wayward Cloud were damn good as well.
