At least in 3 they were actually trying. 4 isn't awful, but it mostly just feels like a stale reunion movie.

shareMe too. I prefer part 3 so much more. Mainly because it actually felt like a "Scream" movie. This one had strange lighting, and the cast wasn't as likeable as the other ones. All the cameos in the beginning were also annoying.

shareI like 4 way more than 3! The 10 years in between made it feel really special to have Scream back. The killer reveal in 4 was pretty surprising, as opposed to 3, where I didn't really care when I found out.
The one thing Scream 3 has going for it, is that it calls out Hollywood executives for being pieces of crap wayyy before anyone else did. Wes Craven was literally using Weinstein's dollars to make a movie that calls him out! The balls on Wes Craven! R.I.P.!
