Is there ANYONE out there who liked it?

Now, fair enough I'm only 15 and haven't seen that many comedy shows come and go, and no, It isn't like Red Dwarf, but in the latter series even Rob Grant and Doug Naylor kind of "flamingoed" it up.

I and a friend of mine actually enjoyed this programme, I'm actually surprised that so many people didn't.

(enough with the whiny defensive)

Personally my favourite character was the Dean, she is such an oddball and slightly mental to boot, but I think that the actress that plays her, plays her with such confidence that I find anything that she says funny. (plus, she's alot like me, the mental oddball thing, I mean)

I think that, though this series isn't to everyones tastes, perhaps it just needs a chance to truly blossom. Perhaps the "diamonds heaaped in sh*t" just want the sh*t scraped off and get polished, (although this show probably is meant to extend to those people that have an immature sense of humour, like me)

I liked it and I have a granddaughter your age. It wasn't brilliant, but as a real Brit TV addict, I'd have to say this was one I was willing to give a chance. There's a lot of stuff I don't even want to bother finishing the first episode (Shameless), some stuff that eventually I sort of like (Lead Balloon for example), and some that are great from the outset (IT Crowd). This was the middle category. Felt it deserved a chance to find its bearings; even Father Ted had disappointing bits/episodes. Comedians aren't psychics; they can't be sure what will click. I can't believe Rab C. Nesbitt had more than one series; you never know. So I agree with you - it should have a chance to pick out the wheat and dump the chaff. Was it picked up for a second series? BBC must be scrambling for "clean" comedy after the Brand-Ross affair and sequelae.

I thought that the series did have some REALLY good bits in it but they were too few and far between to save the whole from being a bit pants.

One noteable exception however was Jo Enright (Cara) who, for me, was the real star of the show. Her reactions and 'background' non-verbal acting were often the best thing in the show - but, unfortunatly, normally the lines she was given were just as weak as the other characters.

I really liked it. I thought the Dean was very funny too.

I also liked how every episode ended with someone saying "Oh, for fu-"
