It's just a cheap and pathetic way to continue the series my friend. There's no more of the crazy hill billy nutters left at the end of 3. They are all Elvis by the finale. Each and every one of them. But this being Hollywood they just dont care for such facts. Like how did the dog manage to trace that girl back to three fingers shack?. A dog wouldn't be able to sniff her out because she was in the truck with three fingers. So her scent would have gone cold for the dog. Yet it tracked her down right to his shack? YEAH RIGHT!. She would have to have traveled BY FOOT not by truck for that dog to have picked up her scent.
I hated the ending to this movie. The movie (besides that inaccurate dog scene and the ending) was decent.
There was no more mutants left. The only two survivors at the end of the second one was three fingers and the mutant baby (now a boy in the third one that got his head cut off). It's just Hollywood doing what they do best. Trying to create another excuse to make more!. Instead of leaving it be after they all got killed.
