This film would be good if...

It actually tells us in the film who and why someone is trying to kill dolph.
The whole plot is very unrewarding. I would like to know why someone wanted to kill him. it never explains it.
If it does and I hadnt noticed or understood it someone please explain it to me.

Take your pick:

-The CIA was looking into him. The mob decided to cut him loose before he spilled the beans.

-The mob boss (Bo Svenson) had a history with Dolph. At first Dolph was just a nameless assassin for the mob. Once Bo learned the assassin was Dolph he tried to have him eliminated.

-During his assignment in Hong Kong Dolph spared the Russian hostage. He was supposed to eliminate everyone, leave no witnesses. Said hostage was in fact a CIA informer.

I can't be sure but I think when Dolph's character killed everyone in Hong Kong it screwed up a huge business deal for his Russian 'friend'... the kind you don't just say 'hey buddy... you messed up my deal... no worries'

I didn't mind some slight ambiguity in the plot, but it would have been better if the direction wasn't so sloppy. Dolph Lundgren is a charismatic on screen, but he can not direct.
