AK is directing a movie based on comics character 'Doga'.
shareagreed!!.Abhimanyu stood just few inches ahead among a terrific cast..AK undoubtedly among 3-4 best contemporary directors in India (in same league I would keep Vishal Bharadwaj, Madhur Bhandarkar, Deepanker Banerjee too)..cant wait him to bring Doga to celluloid...!!

Please don't insult AK by putting Bhandarkar in the same league as his. Bhandarkar is street smart- AK is a genius. Bahandarkar knows what sells and his scripts come are a result of that. His movies are made with convenience, not conviction. AK is the total opposite!
AK rocks man! He is Mr.Films!

agree 100%.. ransa was one of the most powerful character in the movie... there is something in his voice..
AK is one of the best directors in indian cinema today..
I like Dibakar Banrejee and Sriram Raghavan also..
My 2 cents:
Agree completely.
Abhimanyu Singh was a rockstar in his Johnny Bravo act-- always macho and smiling even when licked!
Glad to see Anurag Kashyap have a good year after so many struggles. A pioneer of brave new cinema from India.
Didn't you love the in-joke about Mahie Gill being a Tabu fan? Hilarious!
@shuklaapoorv and @joshinishad
It's not Dipankar Banerjee. It's Dibakar Banerjee. He has directed only two movies 1. Khosla ka Ghosla and 2. Oye Lucky, Lycky Oye!
And these movies are like OMG, I mean these are simply great, awesome, mindblowing. Please don't miss these.
You'd be going too far to say he 'stole' the show - his role was too short - his part was the initiation of the 'student guy' (Dilip?) - but yes - he was good! so was Mr.Menon, Bhati, Dilip and Kiran.. but Bana was the one who stole the show without getting the attention.. his was a tough role to play - in fact, AK is a genius to have come up with his character along with his playmate. was almost Shakespearean in having the 'court jester' character.. played to perfection by Mr.Mishra!
i agree his role was the toughest
i even agree that abhimanyu didn't "ACTUALLY" steal the show
but you know what i wanted to express is that he was a wonderful surprise package
that's that.
The beauty of his character, was that it was strong, and yet short. you don't need to stick around for the whole movie to make an impression. a lesson for our star struck leading actors in bollywood.
