I loved this poem by Piyush Mishra.. Bloody awesome..

sarfaroshi ki tamanna ab hamare dil me hai.
dekhna hai zor kitna bazuve kaatil me hai
waqt aane pe bataadenge tujhe e asmaan
hum abhi se kya bataye kya hamare dil me hai

ore bismal kaash aate aaj tum hindustaan
dekhte ki mulk saara kya tashan kya chill me hai
aaj ka launda yeh kehta hum to bismil thak gaye
apni aazaadi to bhaiya laundiya ke til me hai.

aaj ke jalson me bismil ek ghunga gaa raha.
aur behron ka wo rela naachta mehfil me hai
haath ki khadi banaane ka zamaana lag gaya
aaj to chaddi bhi silti englison ki mill me hai

dekhna hai zor kitna bazuve kaatil me hai

thanx for the entire poem....

some corrections:
haath ki khadi banane ka zamaana lad gaya (not lag gaya)
and
dekhte ki mulk saara kya tashan mein thrill mein hai (not sure about this
)

Yes it is a wonderful take on Bismil's original poem.
Do you have the words for the other poem by Piyush Mishra about Shri Krishna & Duryodhan?

Found it on the net. Its an excerpt from "Krishna Ki Chetavani"

do nyay agar to adha do
par isme bhi yadi badha ho
to dedo kewal paach gram
rakho apni dharti tamam

hum vahi khushi se khayenge

Mostly all quotes which stood out for me were by kay kay.. His delivery is extremely potent & impactful throughout. Absolutely stunning work by him & Abhimanyu singh.

One that comes to mind, is when kay kay rebukes raja chaudhary, saying, 'Switzerland se waapas aaja. Bistar baad mein todna' :)

Ransa had some superb dialogues. I don't remember them verbatim but here goes :

When Dilip Singh's brother meets him at the beginning of the movie and asks him "Tum sharaab peete ho?" and Ransa replies "Haan, aur cigarette bhi peeta hoon, awaragardi bhi karta hoon aur laundiyabaazi bhi karta hoon. Aur kuch?"

When Dilip touches the Maharajah's feet while leaving after Ransa has stormed off:
"Abey late kyon nahin jata"

The dialogue when he is tied up and asked to withdraw from the elections :
"Tera baap agar time pe withdraw kar gaya hota to tu haramzadgi se bach jata"

When Dilip's brother asks him to forget the ragging done by Jadhwal :
"tera bhai kya janam se ullu ka pattha hai ya koi special course kiya hai?"

When he goes to the police thana to lodge a report on Dilip's disappearance :
"Sab kuch chhor ke kaam ke beech mein aa raha hoon. Abhi tak condom bhi nahin utara hai"

And of course the best dialogue is by Anurag kashyap himself, via an ad painted on the wall for Democracy beer in the background in one of the scenes:
"Democracy Lager beer. By the Powerful People, Of the Powerful People, For the Powerful People."

Great collection guys.
The black-comedy in this film is unbelievable. I mean at times it was better than a Tarantino film (and that's a big call) because the scene could be as intense as KayKay being shot in the guts and bleeding to death but then he says something along the lines of 'Mera bhai ko padai ke liye England bheja tha, Lennon ki gaand mein'. LOVE IT!
That's one of my fave quotes from the film btw.

I liked the parallel you drew to Tarantino's film. His movie dialogues are also Awesome.
For me, though, the best in Gulaal was the modern take of Bismil's patriotic, sarfaroshi ki tamanna which has already been penned by someone in above post and the second best was the poem on Lennon just before his blue partner is killed. Can someone post that?

I loved the inspector's last words : Can I take off my uniform ?... I love it to death .. if it gets stained .... .. That inspector in his blip of his role gave a commendable performance ..
