This film’s strengths is the mishmash of scenes and found footage. That makes it entertaining, funny, and when necessary, scary.
An entertaining plot about wannabe filmmakers finding their lives imitating art as it imitates life. The Scenesters is probably going to become a Cult Classic which is actually watchable as a 4.
I came on here to say the same thing! It's just one of those films that is too different and edgy to be commercial right now. The beginning was a bit slow but I'm glad I hung in there. By the time they decided to add in a "montage" I was hooked!

Originally ‘The Scenesters’ went on Tour of Uni’s and Colleges while on a very restricted Commercial Theatres Market. Cable is not picking it up, at least for now. Word of mouth just doesn't cut it. iTunes and Netflix are not giving it a fair shake. level of appreciation remains limited, disappointingly so.

It reminded me slightly of two other movies - 'Brick' and 'Rubber'. I thought both of those missed the mark on Noir and film commentary. Scenesters, however, hit my taste funny bone almost perfectly. Awesome.
