Different versions? SPOILER!

I saw this movie several years ago and i thought it was rather bad. A scene did get stuck in my mind though, wich i thought was very beautiful and touching. I´m sorry i don´t remember anybodys name.

It´s on the bridge where the werewolves caught up on the damaged guy. As I clearly remember, this guy had a big eager to die in battle and asked the "sorcerer" (I don´t know the english word, sorry) when they were in the village and they were about to fight the werewolves if this was the fight where he would die. She said it was not, and he was abit disapointed.
Later on, on the bridge as I said, when the werewolves caught up with him, he turns his head and looks at the sorcerer. She now smiles and nods her head. He knows by this that this is the time.

This was the only reason i decided to watch it again since it was a powerful scene. However, this time he never verbally ask the sorcerer anything! The whole scene on the bridge where he looks at the sorcerer is meaningless, the movie is destroyed!


Is my memory really decieving me?
