Which one is the most violent and mature?

Out of all the Marvel/DC animated movies, which one is the most violent and mature movie?

I know it's not this one because it's rated PG (along with the upcoming Wonder Woman), but out of Ultimate Avengers 1 & 2, Iron Man, Doctor Strange, and Justice League, which one would it be?

Wonder Woman's not gonna be PG. I guess the most bloody and violent ones are between Justice League: New Frontier or Batman: Gotham Knight. Really though if it's violence you're looking for, you should probably be watching anime like Black Lagoon or Gantz or something.

Still got my fingers crossed, waiting for Judas Contract to get green-lit

Haha, well I don't mean that violent.

I just don't want to watch a movie that is kiddish. I know the movies are PG-13 related, but yeah..

Superman Doomsday and Gotham Knight for sure.

On the bed, on the floor, on a towel by the door, in the tub, in the car, up against the mini-bar

Superman: Doomsday is the most violent but I think that the tone of JL: New Frontier is the most mature. Overall, I think the DC DVDs have been more aimed at the older fans than Marvels.

Ahehe

Most mature are Return of the Joker, Mystery of the Batwoman and Doctor Strange. The most violent are Ultimate Avengers 1 & 2.

reply

In terms of violence... not counting Superman:Doomsday, I'd actually say Doctor Strange was more violent/mature.

In Ultimate Avengers it was really only 'faceless aliens' that were killed.

What about Justice League: The New Frontier? It had some very bloody scenes, as well as some occult group of men trying to stab a boy.

All I can say is this: DC's animated features in general are vastly superior to Marvel's.

reply

If only the same could be said about their live-action films not starring Batman.

Pleased to meet you. Hope you guess my name. ;)

reply

It would help if they could actually make more than one or two films starring someone other than Batman.
