So many things left unanswered but hey, that's life.

As much as I want to know what happened to the corrupt policemen, who killed Dougie, and other such things, it's good that it was left as you don't always get the truth in real life, so why should a fictionalized account be any different.
Excellent films!

I, too, wanted to know what happened to the corrupt police. I was thinking that because each movie takes place in different years, that we'd at least find out if Jobson's actions led to everyone's exposure? While Jobson killing Laws meant he could not expose the cops, the victims that were shown still alive (Myshkin, BJ) knew the truth. Did the book wrap this up?

Not really! David Peace doesn't really do happy endings, and indeed the end of '1983' is an awful lot bleaker on the page than on screen. Myshkin is still in jail, BJ lives but is traumatised.

I'm not exactly sure how BJ's ending is a happy one. He's clearly *beep* up for life.
