Shaking my head in embarrassment at some of you people...

it's not a good film. it's got maybe half a dozen tolerably funny Joss Whedon lines, but there are funnier Buffy episodes. Overall the film is bad.

This whole message board shows why so many movies treat the audience like idiots: because most of the audience IS made up of idiots.
This movie is so obvious with it's message yet so many people on this board still manage to miss it. It's kind of embarrassing, honestly.

Yeah it's super obvious that you should lose your virginity as early as possible.

Not to mention, this film is NOT REALLY A HORROR FILM.

It's also implied by Sigourney Weaver that 'the virgin' was not an actual virgin..but close enough lol! This film was a riot and overtly paid homage to so many horror classics. It's obvious that a lot of people simply didn't 'get it' but to me that makes it even more enjoyable. The film was like "hey..here's this and this and some of this..." the fact that people couldn't recognize the satirical homage to me really drives the point home. Most movie goers, like society itself are not capable of critical thought. Most have to be told what to think and then have it explained that it's for their own good. Example...Donald Trump is a satirical character of your typical American idiot. His motives have been explained, and his campaign capitalizes on those incapable of critical thought. He's like the Michael Bay of presidential candidates..

I like the film... but it's weird to have somebody try to convince me that a movie 'holding my hand' is a positive thing... by your rationale, people are justified in hating it... Spoonfeeding is not an admirable story trait.





